Tigger & Pooh confirmed for a second season

With the resounding success that My Friends Tigger & Pooh has received, Disney has announced that the preschool CG-animated series will be on air for a second season on Disney Channel’s ‘Playhouse Disney’. Right now it airs on weekends at 10:00 am. Ever since hitting the screens on 12th May the show has attainted the #1 rank on all televisions in the kids’ age group 2-5 yrs old. Worldwide, the series is being aired in countries like Germany, Italy and the U.K. and has been well received with strong ratings. The series shall be available in the Middle East, Australia; parts of Asia and Latin America come July and is expected to reach a worldwide audience of 175 million homes.

The show circulates entirely around the classic stories of Milne namely, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore and the rest of their friends. Every one of the episodes circulates around the characters solving a problem that arises in the Hundred Acre Wood. It whole idea behind getting mysteries solved is that even the youngest viewers shall attempt to apply “reflective” thinking skills.

Nancy Kanter, senior VP of original programming at Disney Channel said Disney was delighted to introduce a whole new generation of preschoolers to these amazing, fun loving characters.
