Pooh sings to his fansSeptember 24, 2007
Children usually grow impatient when they are to see their favorite bear in action – Winnie the Pooh. Winnie the Pooh came along with his friends at the Jorgensen Centre for the Performing Arts to enchant his fans with a musical. A packed house containing parents and their children waited with awaited breath for the musical to begin. The show began with Pooh and Piglet singing when suddenly Rabbit comes along to inform them that Kanga is planning to take over the forest. The three of them create a plan to force Kanga out of the forest. All through the hour long play there were many songs sung and the kids really got involved in the activities of the cast. The main character that was missing out was Tigger but the kids didn’t seem to mind that too much.
Kate Cox, a Mansfield resident, brought her two daughters. She said that although this musical was different from the original “Winnie the Pooh” the musical followed an identical theme. Her daughter Allison said she thoroughly enjoyed the performance as there as a lot of dancing. Towards the culmination of the musical Kanga and Rabbit both settle their differences and Kanga assures Rabbit that she will not attempt to take over the forest. Kanga then goes on to invite everyone to dinner and befriends everyone.
