Who? Winnie

Is this a joke or what - Richard Danzig, formerly served as Navy Secretary when Bill Clinton was US President and he could be the next US National Security Advisor if Obama is elected US President. Addressing a foreign policy conference in Washington Mr. Danzig called for a change in the US foreign policy approach to the war on terrorism and said that US could take a leaf out of pages of Winnie the Pooh, which means - if somethings brings you unbearable pain, try something else.

Now this is something really absurd to hear from a person who could be the next National Security Advisor, and Mr. Obama is seen to be a politician with a soft stand against terrorism and that is not what other leaders of western nations would really appreciate from a US President. And if his National Security Advisor reads Winnie the Pooh and puts across reading a paragraph from chapter one of the children’s classic, which says: “Here is Edward Bear, coming downstairs now, bump, bump, bump on the back of his head behind Christopher Robin. It is, as far as he knows, the only way of coming down stairs. But sometimes he thinks there really is another way if only he could stop bumping a minute and think about it.” Then that’s really not putting much confidence in the people who have suffered at the hands of terrorism.
