Poketo Collaborates with Disney on a 'Winnie the Pooh' Collection of Five Limited Edition Artist-Designed WalletsOctober 30, 2012
Los Angeles, October 29th 2012 – Winnie the Pooh, a childhood favorite beloved the world over for generations has now been re-imagined by Poketo in a collaboration with Disney for a limited edition collection of five original artist-designed wallets. Featuring a dreamy, artful interpretation of Pooh’s wonderful world, the whimsical wallets depict his adventures in the Hundred Acre Woods and his friendships with trusty sidekicks Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger and Rabbit.
For the collaboration, Poketo worked directly with the Disney creative team on a modern and artistic approach to Winnie the Pooh as you have never seen him before. Evoking Pooh’s loveable, adventurous, joyful nature, the colorful wallets capture him in a whole new, modern, artful light. The Pooh wallets are made of a double layer of durable vinyl for extra strength, with three slots that let you fit in your credit cards, bills and spare change. All wallets come with a matching pin and official collaboration card.
We are honored to work with such an iconic global brand like Disney on our signature wallets. The heartwarming story of Winnie the Pooh is filled with adventure and camaraderie, which harks back to how Poketo originally began – by creating wallets themed on this sense of exploration, art, and friendship. These Pooh wallets have such a dreamy, endearing quality to them and truly capture the imagination in a fresh and contemporary way. We are confident that they will resonate with people of all ages,” said Angie Myung, co-founder of Poketo.
The limited edition Winnie the Pooh wallets are available for $20 at the end of October. The collaboration is a limited edition of 100 per design.
