Telecom New Zealand releases even more Pooh Phonecards

January 7, 2000

Almost eclipsing Disney's own standard characters in popularity, Winnie the Pooh's phonecard series has become Telecom New Zealand's favourite release. That's why Telecom New Zealand released the 3rd part of their Winnie the Pooh series just before Christmas. The new chip cards allow the design to be printed exclusively on one side, leaving Telecom's information on the reverse. Consisting of four $5 cards, they are titled:

  • $5 Weeds out - flowers in
  • $5 What have we hair today
  • $5 There. That's just what's needed
  • $5 Never fail mail

Only 800 cards of each design have been produced, of which 500 are being sold in presentation packs. The price for a set of four mint phone cards is $US21, and a presentation pack is $US80. Prices include airmail postage.
