Wooden Winnie Stolen!December 12, 2007
A charity shop in Bury St. Edmunds is the sight from where a wooden sculpture of Winnie the Pooh has been stolen. The walnut sculpture, 15” in height was open for sale priced at £98. The street where this incident is took place is believed to be Cavern 4, Whiting Street.
A part of the money from the sale was meant to be given to mental health charity Workwise, it runs the shop from which the sculpture has been stolen. It now is faced with the possibility to have to pay the sculptor for his share of the sales proceeds. That person is a retired GP from Trimley St. Mary.
